Job summary

Liberty Dialysis - Dimond in Anchorage, Alaska is seeking a compassionate Dialysis Registered Nurse to join our team serving adult and geriatric ESRD patients. This full-time position offers 36 hours per week with flexible scheduling and benefits start after 30 days.

The RN will provide direct and indirect care, implement care plans, educate patients and families, coordinate with physicians and staff, and uphold professional standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: ADN or nursing diploma required.
• Ability to license in the State of Alaska.
• Leadership ability and organizational skills.
• Computer software knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to understand and implement government standards.
• Commitment to quality patient care and maximizing clinical performance measures for each patient.
• Commitment to principles of customer service for patients, staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Direct and indirect nursing care for a primarily adult/geriatric ESRD patient population.
• Uses nursing process to assess patient needs, determine and implement a plan of care, evaluate and revise plan.
• Initiates and provides ongoing patient and family education and includes patient/family in care planning, documenting care provided.
• Maintain communication with physicians, ancillary services, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care for each patient.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing practice and delegating tasks appropriately.
