Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre-treatment assessments and verify readiness for dialysis.
• Evaluate vascular access and monitor integrity prior to initiating therapy.
• Initiate, monitor, and discontinue hemodialysis treatments per protocols and care plans.
• Observe for adverse reactions, hemodynamic instability, or complications and intervene as needed.
• Educate patients on dialysis routines, fluid/diet management, access care, and self-management strategies.
• Document assessments, interventions, treatment parameters, and patient responses in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with nephrology providers, dialysis technicians, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure equipment readiness, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
