The ideal candidate holds an Oregon RN license, BLS, and candidates with CDN/CNN or ACLS are preferred; experience with dialysis equipment and quality improvement is valued. On-call may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Oregon RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• CDN/CNN or other nephrology certification preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate nursing care for dialysis patients per orders and hospital policies.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after dialysis.
• Develop individualized care plans with physicians and the care team.
• Initiate and adjust dialysis treatments per protocol and RN scope.
• Monitor vascular access and manage complications.
• Educate patients and families about dialysis and kidney disease.
