Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• No experience required.
• Current Texas RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Unit-specific competencies obtained within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Knows and conforms to the Nurse Practice Act for the State of Texas and provides individualized, goal-directed nursing care.
• Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel consistent with safety and qualifications.
• Administer medications and treatments correctly and safely as ordered.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and unit activities.
• Clarify any order or treatment that may be inaccurate by consulting with licensed practitioners.
• Institute nursing interventions to stabilize patients and prevent complications.
