Alliance Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Irvington, NJ is seeking an experienced Dialysis RN Charge Nurse to oversee daily operations in the dialysis unit, delivering patient-centered care, coordinating staff, and ensuring compliance with clinical and safety standards.

The role requires an active NJ RN license, at least 1 year in Medical/Surgical settings, venipuncture skills, and the ability to respond to emergencies, with prior dialysis experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Jersey.
• Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing preferred.
• Venipuncture skills required; dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dialysis unit operations and coordinate staff activities.
• Monitor water quality checks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain infection control practices and device disinfection.
• Provide patient-centered care and ensure a safe environment.
• Review treatment documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with onboarding and orientation of new staff.
• Participate in staff evaluations and quality improvement.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate unit responses.
• Allocate staff based on acuity and care needs.
• Communicate unit concerns to the Nurse Manager.
• Maintain knowledge of patient conditions and care plans.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and professional conduct.
• Educate staff and patients on dialysis procedures and meds.
