Job summary

U.S. Renal Care is seeking an RN Charge Nurse to oversee nursing services on each shift in a Texas dialysis clinic.

The role functions as a nursing supervisor, providing daily staff supervision during operating hours and ensuring high-quality dialysis care. The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, has 12 months of nursing experience (including 3 months with dialysis patients), and can lead in emergent situations while maintaining clear English communication.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum 12 months of nursing care experience, including 3 months with dialysis patients.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and sound judgment in emergent situations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services each shift and supervise staff on duty.
• Assist with clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations.
• Complete and document monthly reviews of patient medication profiles; administer medications as ordered.
• Assist physician during rounds and transcribe/implement orders timely.
• Support anemia management and dialysis protocols as requested.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policy requirements.
• Perform direct patient care within state regulations and dialysis capabilities when allowed.
• Respond to emergencies in clinic and communicate patient status to the team.
• Maintain collaboration with Medical Director and physicians; participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
• Assist in orientation of new staff and serve as a preceptor as needed.
• Act as resource person for dialysis services and ensure policies are up to date.
• Assist Administrator with interviewing, hiring, evaluations, and disciplinary actions of center staff.
