Job summary

Kindred Hospital Greensboro is seeking a Dialysis Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to patients requiring renal replacement therapy. The role reports to the Dialysis Program Manager or Dialysis Supervisor.

You will plan and deliver hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments, supervise other staff, document assessments and treatments, and respond to emergencies. RN licensure and BLS are required, with dialysis experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required.
• Graduate of accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice required.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required.
• Two or more years of experience as a registered nurse.
• At least one year of acute or chronic dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides patient care for adult and geriatric patients in the hospital.
• Provides direct patient care and renal replacement therapies independently.
• Supervises and directs patient care in dialysis areas.
• Documents patient assessments, vital signs, dialysis orders and treatments in EMR.
• Communicates emergencies and issues to supervisor and physician.
• Initiates and discontinuation of prescribed renal replacement therapy.
• Mentors teammates and acts as a resource for staff.
• Travels approximately 5% as needed.
