Job summary

U.S. Renal Care in Capitola, CA is seeking a Staff Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team. You will engage in continuing education, quality assessment, and the application of nephrology research to improve patient outcomes.

As a patient-centered leader, you will collaborate with physicians, technicians, and support staff to ensure compassionate, high‑quality dialysis care. You will rely on your RN expertise and EHR proficiency to coordinate care and advocate for patients and families.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent
  • Current, active RN license in state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Dialysis experience or nephrology background preferred
  • Competent with Electronic Health Records (EHR)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in continuing education and quality improvement activities.
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient care.
  • Apply Nephrology Nursing Standards of Practice and scope of duties.
  • Maintain ethical practice and translate research findings into care.

As a Staff Nurse you will actively participate in professional role development activities, including continuing education, quality assessment and improvement, and the review and clinical application of research findings. The Staff Nurse develops ethically sound practice and confronts ethical challenges through the application of the Nephrology Nursing Standards of Practice and the state Scope of Practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: One (1) year of registered nurse experience.

Experience: Minimum 3 months (California & Tennessee) or 6 months (Texas) of experience as a Nephrology Nurse with dialysis experience required; a combination of in-center, and/ or acute, hemodialysis required

Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent

License/Certification: Current, active, unencumbered state RN licensure

License/Certification: Current Healthcare Provider certification (CPR) required

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Competent and in-depth knowledge regarding the use of Electronic Health Records

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to organize, prioritize and complete projects independently
