Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is recruiting dedicated Patient Care Technicians to support our nonprofit mission of individualized care for patients with chronic kidney disease.

The role includes hands-on dialysis support, training, and a strong team environment focused on safety and quality outcomes. You will participate in infection control, assist with 120-day patient education plans, and work under RN supervision on a 12-hour shift schedule with Sundays off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.
• DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program, including classroom sessions and one-on-one training.
• Dialysis experience not required; job shadow opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education.
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis and document changes for the charge nurse.
• Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload.
• Maintain patient privacy and rights in professional relationship.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
