Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support the dialysis care team in an on-site clinical setting. The PCT provides care to patients with end-stage renal disease and assists in delivering prescribed treatments under RN supervision.

You will participate in an extensive 12‑week paid training program, obtain vital signs, and help with setup and cleanup of dialysis equipment while maintaining patient privacy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through 120‑day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient’s weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
