Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a diligent Patient Care Technician to join our dialysis team in Texas. You will assist in setting up hemodialysis machines, monitor patients during treatment, and support infection control and CQI initiatives to ensure safe, effective care.

The role involves education and coordination with RNs and other staff to maintain high standards. Responsibilities include documenting vitals and treatment data, assisting with lab specimen processing, and helping patients

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• PCT national certification or state certification required (CMS defined).
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of dialysis machines and monitor patient condition during treatment.
• Monitor and document vital signs and treatment parameters; report changes to RN or supervisor.
• Maintain safe and clean patient care environment per policy.
• Support CQI activities and infection control practices within the clinic.
• Participate in staff training, precepting, and education as directed by Clinical Manager.
• Assist with transitional care and patient education on treatment options and home dialysis when applicable.
