Job summary

Salem Kidney Center, part of Health Systems Management, Inc., in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) to train and become Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to support dialysis patients under RN guidance.

We offer a 10-week training program, comprehensive medical coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and other benefits. Training leads toward becoming a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) with potential career advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Must pass the Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) exam within 18 months.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
• comfortable working around blood and needles.
• Excellent bedside manners and communication skills.
• Ishihara color vision test required.

Responsibilities

• Set up the hemodialysis machine.
• Greet patients and collect treatment details.
• Prepare the patient’s vascular access for treatment.
• Initiate, monitor, and discontinue dialysis per policies.
• Record vital signs before/during/after treatment.
• Document fluid removal accurately.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and intervene as needed.
• Maintain infection control and PPE practices.
• Assist with patient mobility and daily living activities.
• Respond to emergencies.
