Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an experienced dialysis patient care technician to join our team. You will assist in setting up and operating hemodialysis machines, monitor patients during treatment, and ensure a clean, safe environment compliant with regulations.

Role requires High School diploma or GED, CMS-certified licensure, CPR certification, and prior patient care experience. Training will be provided for site-specific procedures and CQI initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification within CMS timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Evaluate patient wellbeing and vital signs during and after treatment.
• Perform vascular access cannulation and administer heparin as delegated.
• Document treatment data accurately on Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Maintain clean and safe dialysis environment and adherence to infection control policies.
• Report patient condition changes to RN or supervisor.
• Monitor and manage dialysis parameters and alarms.
• Assist with patient education related to dialysis adequacy and processes.
