Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Canton IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the dialysis team. The role involves assisting in setup and operation of dialysis machines, monitoring patients, and ensuring safety and accuracy of treatment data under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS/state certification requirements may apply.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Previous patient care experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Monitor patients and record vital signs and treatment parameters.
• Evaluate vascular access and ensure safety alarms are active.
• Support RN and other staff in patient education and treatment documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the dialysis area.
• Assist with inventory and supply organization as needed.
