Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Illinois is seeking a patient care-focused teammate to assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis equipment under RN supervision. The role emphasizes safe care, infection control, and documentation.

You'll contribute to CQI activities, educate patients on adequacy measures, monitor treatment responses, and support a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required.
• Previous patient care experience in hospital setting preferred.
• Continued employment dependent on successful completion of dialysis training program and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines under RN supervision.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and treatment parameters; respond to changes as directed.
• Educate patients on adequacy measures and disease processes where appropriate.
• Maintain infection control practices and a clean, safe treatment environment.
• Document treatment data accurately and timely in designated systems.
• Support transition and staff training related to patient care activities.
