Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Big Lake Clinic is seeking a patient care technician to support the dialysis team in delivering safe, effective therapy under RN supervision.

You will set up and operate dialysis machines, monitor patients, document vital signs, and participate in CQI activities. No prior dialysis experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. Hours include early morning shifts; occasional travel to nearby clinics.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • CMS/Medicare state certification requirements to be met.
  • State licensure, education and training as applicable.
  • Commitment to organization culture, values and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate dialysis machines and monitor treatment.
  • Evaluate patient condition and respond per physician orders.
  • Record vital signs, weights and treatment data accurately.
  • Ensure safety alarms and infection control procedures are followed.
  • Assist with transitions between patients and clinic workflow.
  • Assist in training direct care staff under supervision of a nurse.
