Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in the United States seeks a Dialysis Technician to support safe dialysis therapy under supervision. You will set up machines, monitor patients during treatment, and document vital signs, UF goals, and treatment parameters in the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.

The role emphasizes infection control, patient safety, and collaboration with nurses to ensure quality care and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required and CMS certification requirements.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training may be required.
• CPR certification and patient-care experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor dialysis machines and set up equipment per orders.
• Record vital signs, weight, and treatment data on the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes to a nurse or supervisor.
• Maintain infection control practices and disinfect dialysis equipment between treatments.
• Assist in vascular access evaluation, cannulation, and documentation as delegated.
