The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia (UVA Health) is seeking personnel to provide direct and indirect patient care in Lynchburg, VA. The role involves following care plans, ensuring safety, and participating in ongoing training within a Magnet-recognized medical center.

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and may include CNAs, EMTs, or licensed practical nurses with applicable certifications.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required.
• AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required (may be waived for non-certified hires with relevant experience).
• Graduate of a certified nursing program or equivalent.Preferred: Patient Care Technician Certification (NCCT).
• Currently enrolled student nurses who have completed clinical experience may qualify.

Mansioni

• Provide safe and direct care to patients at the assigned location, adjusting for age as needed.
• Provide direct and indirect care to meet comfort, hygiene and safety needs.
• Follow nursing/medical plans of care and UVA Health policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, stocked clinical location.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, sterilization, and environment for quality care.
• Identify and report safety concerns to licensed staff.
• Collect initial and ongoing patient information during the plan of care.
• Attend mandatory in-services and training.
• Demonstrate ASPIRE values and teamwork in care delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.

Formazione

High School Graduate or Equivalent

No experience required

AHA BLS Certification

Graduate of a certified nursing program

Patient Care Technician Certification

Currently enrolled student nurses with Clinical Experience
