Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Ottawa is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join the onsite dialysis team in Ottawa, IL. You will assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patients, and document treatment data as part of a licensed nurse-guided team.

The role involves preparing patients, managing vascular access checks, and ensuring a safe treatment environment. Requires a high school diploma and relevant certifications; pay ranges hourly with benefits package included.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification within the required timeline.
• State licensure, education, and training as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines.
• Monitor patient vital signs during treatment and respond to issues.
• Document treatment data and patient responses accurately.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control practices.
• Assist with vascular access assessment and cannulation as delegated.
