Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dialysis patient care role in Lemont, IL. The position involves setting up and operating hemodialysis machines, monitoring vitals, and ensuring patient safety under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include patient education on adequacy measures, recording treatment data, and assisting with infection control and CQI activities. On-site work with comprehensive benefits and training provided.

Qualifications

• Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline.
• CPR certification or equivalent training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in education for patients on adequacy measures and dialysis protocols.
• Monitor vitals, weight, and treatment parameters; document and report changes to RN.
• Set up and operate dialysis machines and maintain safety alarms and proper workflow during treatments.
• Observe and respond to intradialytic issues and ensure patient safety throughout the session.
• Assist with infection control, charting, and transitional care coordination as directed.
