Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dialysis patient care technician to join the team. You will assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patient status, and ensure safety and cleanliness of the treatment environment.

Responsibilities include patient education, documenting treatment data, and supporting CQI activities under licensed nurse supervision. Travel between facilities may be required within the community.

Qualifications

• Assist in providing patient education on adequacy measures and dialysis processes.
• Support pre- and post-treatment procedures including vital signs and weight.
• Maintain environment safety and infection control compliance.
• Accurately document treatment data and patient information.

Responsabilités

• Welcome patients and check wellbeing at each treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access patency and assist cannulation and heparin administration.
• Record vital signs, weight and treatment parameters.
• Set up and initiate dialysis per prescribed orders (QB/QD).
• Monitor patient response and report changes to the RN or supervisor.
• Ensure safety alarms are enabled and equipment is ready for use.
• Maintain infection control practices and environmental cleanliness.
• Assist in training direct patient care staff under RN supervision.
• Prepare/print lab requisitions and manage specimens as required.
