Fresenius Medical Care in Diamondhead, MS is seeking a dedicated dialysis care professional to assist in patient treatment under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will help set up hemodialysis machines, monitor patients during treatment, and document vital signs and procedural steps.

This role emphasizes patient education, adherence to safety procedures, and collaboration with licensed nurses to ensure safe, effective therapy and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Assist in patient education regarding adequacy measures and dialysis processes as appropriate.
• Support the healthcare team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy under supervision.
• Ensure adherence to organization policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Responsabilités

• Welcome assigned patients and inquire about wellbeing since last treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access for patency and perform cannulation and heparin administration as delegated or allowed by state law.
• Obtain pre and post-treatment vital signs and weight, perform vascular access evaluation pre-treatment.
• Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders (QB, QD).
• Evaluate intradialytic problems and provide intervention as prescribed.
• Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy.
• Record and document vital signs prior to reinfusion and discontinuation of treatment.
• Discontinue dialysis and evaluate patient prior to termination of venous access.
