Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks a dialysis patient care specialist to operate hemodialysis equipment and support safe patient treatment. You will welcome patients, monitor vital signs, and adjust therapy per orders while ensuring a clean, compliant environment.

The role requires high school completion, CMS licensure or certification, and CPR. Travel between facilities may be required; training programs will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements.
• All appropriate state licensure, education and training required.
• Demonstrated commitment to organization culture, values and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate hemodialysis machines.
• Welcome patients and assess wellbeing since last treatment.
• Perform vascular access cannulation and administer heparin as delegated.
• Obtain pre/post treatment vital signs and weight; document.
• Initiate dialysis per orders; monitor response and safety alarms.
• Record treatment data and ensure accurate documentation.
