Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Dialysis Technician to join the dialysis health care team under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patient status, document treatment data, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• CMS certification requirements must be met within state CMS timelines.
• Experience in healthcare/patient care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome assigned patients and check wellbeing since last treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access and perform cannulation under supervision.
• Take pre/post treatment vitals and document.
• Initiate dialysis according to orders (QB/QD).
• Monitor patient response and intervene as prescribed.
• Document treatment data accurately in the chart and systems.
• Maintain infection control practices and environmental cleanliness.
• Assist in training of direct patient care staff under RN supervision.
