Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital in Cleveland, OH is seeking an LPN to join its inpatient hemodialysis team. You'll provide basic bedside care to dialysis patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, work with nephrology practitioners, and support patient-first care in a collaborative environment.

The role requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, an active Ohio LPN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current Ohio license as an LPN.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Preferred: previous dialysis experience.
• Preferred: ICU/Stepdown PCNA experience.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, monitor and terminate dialysis procedures on patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Administer medications and observe patients for adverse reactions to medications and treatments.
• Collect and document treatments given and objective/subjective data related to the patient's health status.
• Set up all dialysis-related equipment for treatment and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
• Complete three months of on-the-job training to become familiar with the policies, procedures, equipment and techniques.
