Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an LPN/LVN to join our dialysis team in Texas. Provide direct patient care, administer and monitor treatments, and document patient progress with accuracy and compassion.

You’ll collaborate with nurses and physicians, educate patients and families, respond to emergencies, and uphold safety standards in our clinic environment. This role requires CPR certification, state licensure, and completion of the Nursing Training Program upon hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN, LVN).
• Current state licensure as an LPN/LVN.
• One year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required.
• ICU experience preferred but not required.
• CPR Certification required.
• Must complete the Nurses Technical Training Program upon hire or soon thereafter.
• Ability to provide coverage at area facilities during times of short-staffing.
• Must meet Ishihara color vision test requirements.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for dialysis patients as prescribed.
• Administer and monitor dialysis treatments according to plan.
• Document treatment parameters and patient information.
• Report significant changes or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Educate patients and families about end-stage renal disease and therapy.
• Assist with emergency procedures and CPR as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary dialysis environment.
• Coordinate care with physicians, dietitians and social workers.
