Job summary

U.S. Renal Care is seeking a Biomedical Technician in Texas City to oversee maintenance and repair of water treatment and dialysis equipment, ensuring patient and staff safety. You will perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and water quality testing while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires strong problem-solving, safety awareness, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced clinical environment, with collaboration across administration and clinical teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license in applicable state with clean record.
• Dialysis, hospital, or medical experience preferred.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Ability to react under stress and in emergencies.
• Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to work independently and with others to plan and organize work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of water treatment and dialysis equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep accurate records.
• Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate dialysis machines and water systems.
• Conduct water quality tests (chlorine, hardness) and document results.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE as required.
• Maintain inventory and assist with orders/receipts.
• Support QA/QAPI meetings with technical summaries.
• Collaborate with Administrators to meet clinic needs.
• Provide staff training on equipment usage and safety.
