Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks a Biomedical Technician to maintain and repair dialysis equipment and water treatment systems across our kidney care clinics. You will train colleagues on operational maintenance to ensure patient safety and manage medical supplies.

In this role you will contribute to equipment planning, service parts inventory, and regulatory compliance while providing after-hours on-call support. This position offers career growth along a structured technician ladder.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in electronics/biomedical technology preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Fresenius Biomedical Technician training within first 24 months of service.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems.
• Maintains the physical plant as directed.
• Ensures outside vendor services are completed per contract.
• Purchases and retains an inventory of service parts.
• Performs water/dialysate sample collection and reporting.
• Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly trend analysis on the water system.
• Documents all repairs and maintenance activity.
• Assists in planning and installing biomedical equipment for safe operation.
• Transports equipment as needed with supervisor consent.
• Participates in monthly technical and regulatory meetings.
• Collaborates with facility staff to meet regulatory and OSHA requirements.
• Manages inventory, including receiving, deliveries, counts, and inter-clinic transfers.
• Performs verification and monitoring of testing by patient care staff per specs.
• Completes all required training per state/federal regulations and policy.
• Provides after-hours on-call coverage for clinics as needed.
