Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Biomedical Technician to maintain and repair dialysis equipment and water treatment systems in our kidney care clinics. You will train colleagues on maintenance and manage medical supplies to ensure safe patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in electronics / biomedical technology preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in mechanical, automotive, or medical settings preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems.
• Maintains the physical plant per direction.
• Ensures outside vendor services are completed per contract.
• Purchases and maintains inventory of service parts.
• Performs water/dialysate sample collection and required actions.
• Conducts trend analysis on the water system to ensure proper function.
• Documents repairs and maintenance activity.
• Assists in planning and installing biomedical equipment for safe operation.
• Transports equipment as needed with supervisor consent.
• Participates in monthly technical and regulatory meetings.
• Collaborates with facility staff to meet regulatory and OSHA requirements.
• Manages inventory and costs, including deliveries and counts.
• Performs verification and ongoing monitoring of staff testing procedures.
• Completes required training programs per regulations and policy.
• Provides after-hours on-call coverage for clinics.
