Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Biomedical Technician to maintain and repair dialysis equipment and water treatment systems in our kidney care clinics. You will train colleagues on operational maintenance and manage medical supplies to ensure patient safety.

Role includes daily calibration, documentation, and collaboration with facility staff to meet regulatory and OSHA requirements. Willingness to travel between clinics and respond to on-call needs is required.

Qualifications

• Qualities: collaborative, independent, analytical, mechanical, self-motivated, self-starter, continually updates knowledge.
• Less than 1-year related experience.
• Prior experience in mechanical, automotive, construction, dialysis, or medical tech setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems.
• Maintains the facility physical plant as directed.
• Ensures outside vendor services are completed per contract.
• Purchases and inventories service parts.
• Performs water/dialysate sample collection and reports actions.
• Conducts trend analysis on the water system.
• Documents repairs and maintenance activities.
• Assists in planning and installing biomedical equipment for safe operation.
• Transports equipment as needed.
• Participates in technical and regulatory meetings.
• Collaborates with staff to meet regulatory and OSHA requirements.
• Manages inventory and cost of inventory.
• Performs verification and monitoring of testing procedures for water systems.
• Provides scheduled after-hour technical on-call coverage.
