Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care AG is seeking a Biomedical Technician to maintain and repair dialysis equipment and water systems in our clinics. You will train staff on maintenance, ensure safety, and manage medical supplies. The role includes travel between clinics and participation in regulatory meetings.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, an associate degree in electronics/biomedical tech, and a valid driver's license. A formal Fresenius technician program completes within 24 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Associate Degree in electronics / biomedical technology, or equivalent (preferred but not required).
• Valid Driver's License issued in the state of residence.
• Successful completion of Fresenius Biomedical Technician training within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems.
• Maintains the physical plant as directed.
• Ensures outside vendor services are completed per contract.
• Purchases and retains an inventory of service parts.
• Performs, evaluates, and reports water/dialysate sample collection and any actions required.
• Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly trend analysis on the water system.
• Documents all repairs and maintenance activity.
• Assists in planning and installing biomedical equipment for safe operation.
• Transports equipment as needed with supervisor consent.
• Participates in monthly technical and regulatory meetings.
• Collaborates with facility staff to meet regulatory and OSHA requirements.
• Manages inventory and assists with costs; coordinates deliveries between clinics.
• Performs initial and annual verification and ongoing monitoring of patient care staff's testing techniques.
• Completes all required technical training programs.
• Provides after-hours on-call coverage as needed.
