Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Biomedical Technician to maintain and repair dialysis equipment and water treatment systems across our clinics.

You will train colleagues, manage parts inventory, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting patient safety.

Requires high school diploma, associate degree preferred, and valid driver’s license; training provided over 24 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in electronics/biomedical tech preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Successful completion of Fresenius Biomedical Technician training within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems.
• Maintains the physical plant as directed.
• Ensures outside vendor services are completed per contract.
• Purchases and retains an inventory of service parts.
• Performs water/dialysate sample collection and evaluates actions.
• Conducts trend analysis on the water system to assure proper function.
• Documents all repairs and maintenance activity.
• Assists in planning and installing biomedical equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Transports equipment as needed with supervisor consent.
• Participates in monthly technical and regulatory meetings.
• Collaborates with facility staff to meet regulatory/OSHA requirements.
• Manages inventory, including receiving and stocking deliveries.
• Performs initial and annual verification of patient care staff’s testing of water systems.
• Completes required technical training per regulations.
• Provides scheduled after-hours on-call coverage.
