Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Biomedical Technician to maintain and repair dialysis and water treatment equipment in our kidney care clinics. You will train colleagues on operational maintenance and manage medical supplies to ensure patient safety and care.

Role involves performing repairs, keeping equipment and facilities up to code, and providing after-hours technical on-call coverage. Requires high school diploma or GED and a relevant associate degree preferred; valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree in electronics/biomedical technology preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Completion of Fresenius Biomedical Technician training within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems.
• Maintains the physical plant, as directed.
• Ensures outside vendor services are completed per contract.
• Purchases and retains an inventory of service parts.
• Performs water/dialysate sample collection and actions required.
• Documents all repairs and maintenance activity.
• Transports equipment as needed with supervisor consent.
• Participates in monthly technical and regulatory meetings.
• Collaborates with facility staff to meet regulatory and OSHA requirements.
• Manages inventory and assists with inventory costs.
• Performs verification of patient care staff’s testing of water system and documentation.
