Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a dedicated Clinical Dialysis Technician to join our Acute Dialysis team. You will deliver dialysis treatments, monitor patients, and work with nephrology and nursing staff to ensure safe, effective care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, complete a dialysis technician program, and obtain a CCHT certification within 18 months of hire; on-site role with opportunities for growth. We use Fresenius and NxStage systems with strong emphasis on safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a dialysis technician training program preferred.
• Certification as a Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) required within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert dialysis treatments by following prescribed protocols and orders.
• Monitor patients during treatment, tracking vital signs and condition changes.
• Operate dialysis machines and perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures and self-care.
• Maintain meticulous treatment records for each patient.
• Uphold infection control and safety standards daily.
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education opportunities.
