Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Eugene, Oregon is seeking a Charge Nurse to guide direct patient care staff, ensure regulatory compliance and maintain high-quality dialysis services. You will collaborate with the Facility Administrator, supervise daily operations, and educates patients and families on dialysis therapy and medications.

The role requires RN licensure, 12 months nursing experience with 6 months dialysis exposure, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (RN)
• Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State
• Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience, plus 6 months of specialized dialysis care experience
• Supervisory or management experience preferred
• Certified in CPR or successfully complete course in CPR certification
• Good communication skills – verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day guidance, support and direction to direct patient care staff and participate in annual performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with all company and facility procedures and regulations.
• Approve or disapprove time or personnel schedule changes in the absence of the Facility Administrator.
• Participate in patient care plan meetings and education of patients and families.
• Maintain knowledge of dialysis practices through scheduled in-services and training.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with Staff RNs in relief charge capacity.
• Promote OSHA safety programs and maintain a safe working environment.
• Lead monthly staff meetings and update the Facility Administrator on staffing and patient care status.
