Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Charge Nurse to supervise nursing staff and ensure safe, high-quality dialysis care. The role emphasizes coordination of patient scheduling, education, and adherence to CQI standards in a mission-driven nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MA RN license and be eligible to practice in MA.
• Minimum of 1 year dialysis nursing experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and review all new patient information and consent forms before initial treatment.
• Assist and oversee patient care staff in initiating, monitoring and terminating dialysis treatments as needed.
• Coordinate patient scheduling with the nurse manager to maximize resource use.
• Manage clinic operations following safety and staffing guidelines in the absence of the manager.
• Communicate patient status to physicians; implement and document orders.
• Participate in patient care conferences, rounds and chart reviews; document progress notes.
• Contribute to risk management, QAPI and infection control committees.
• Supervise initial and ongoing patient education; review education to ensure compliance.
• Manage monthly patient lab work per clinic policies and protocols.
• Oversee nursing teams and non-licensed staff for assignments completion.
• Support training of new staff under supervision of education coordinator and manager.
