Job summary

U.S. Renal Care is seeking a RN Charge Nurse to oversee nursing services across shifts and supervise staff in our dialysis clinic. The role includes supervising daily operations, administering medications, and supporting physician orders during rounds.

The position emphasizes leadership, adherence to regulations, and collaboration with the Medical Director to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient dialysis services.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in applicable state. License must be maintained as current and in good standing.
• 12 months experience in providing nursing care, including 3 months on maintenance dialysis.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Confirmation of ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and sound judgment in emergent situations.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills; proficiency in USRC clinical applications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services each shift and supervise staff on duty.
• Assist with clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations.
• Administer medications as ordered and transcribe physician orders.
• Assist physician during rounds and implement orders timely.
• Support anemia management and dialysis protocols as needed.
• Respond to emergencies in the clinic and communicate patient results to the team.
• Collaborate with Medical Director and physicians; participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
• Assist in orientation of new staff and function as a preceptor.
