Qualifications

• Current RN license in applicable state.
• 12 months nursing care experience, including 3 months in maintenance dialysis.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Leadership ability and sound judgment in emergent situations.
• Proficient English communication, written and verbal.
• Basic computer skills; proficient in USRC clinical applications within 90 days of hire.
• Must meet state practice requirements (RN Charge Nurse).

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services each shift and act as nursing supervisor.
• Supervise staff on duty during operating hours.
• Assist with clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations.
• Demonstrate efficient use of supplies and staff labor hours.
• Document monthly review of patient medication profiles and administer meds as ordered.
• Assist physician during rounds and transcribe orders timely.
• Implement anemia management and medication protocols as requested.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
• May provide direct patient care in dialysis when state regulations allow.
• Respond to emergencies in clinic.
• Communicate assessment results to physician and team.
• Maintain collaboration with Medical Director and physicians.
• Participate in inter-disciplinary patient care planning.
• Assist in orientation of new staff and preceptor duties.
• Contribute to dialysis service improvements and policy updates.
