Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Warrenton, NC seeks a Dialysis Technician to join the health care team providing safe dialysis therapy under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will be responsible for setup and operation of dialysis machines, patient education, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, CMS/state/national certification, CPR certification, and completion of dialysis training.

Qualifications

• HighSchooldiploma or G.E.D. required.
• Must meet CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome assigned patients and inquire about their wellbeing since their last treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access for patency, cannulation, and administer heparin as delegated or allowed by state law.
• Initiate dialysis per orders and monitor QB/QD parameters.
• Record vital signs, weight, and treatment parameters on the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Maintain infection control and clean dialysis equipment and environment.
