Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks a patient care professional to support dialysis sessions under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will set up and operate hemodialysis machines and help maintain a safe, clean treatment area.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, documenting treatments, preparing lab specimens, assisting with vascular access, and participating in CQI activities to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
• CPR certification may be required or preferred depending on state/country.
• Responsibility to assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operation of hemodialysis machines under RN supervision.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and tolerances during treatment and document findings.
• Assist with vascular access evaluation, cannulation, and anticoagulation as delegated.
• Record treatment data, weights, and machine parameters on treatment sheets and charts.
• Maintain infection control practices and ensure equipment and environment are clean.
