Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Hazel Park Clinic seeks a dedicated dialysis technician to join the patient care team. Under RN supervision, you will assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patients, record treatments, and ensure a safe, clean environment.

You will participate in CQI activities, help educate patients on adequacy measures and home dialysis options when appropriate, and support infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• CMS-approved state/national certification requirements must be met.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Monitor patient condition and vital signs during treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access patency and perform cannulation as delegated.
• Administer heparin as allowed by state law and prescribed orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean treatment area and document treatment data.
• Support infection control practices and participate in CQI activities.
