Responsabilidades

• Welcome assigned patients and inquire as to their wellbeing since their last treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access for patency, perform vascular access cannulation, and administer heparin as delegated.
• Obtain pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight; evaluate vascular access pre-treatment.
• Initiate dialysis per orders including QB and QD.
• Monitor patient responses to dialysis and intervene as prescribed.
• Document pre/post dialysis evaluation, weight, vital signs with patient ID.
• Record and monitor treatment parameters on Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Report changes to RN or supervisor and maintain safety checks on equipment.
