Fresenius Medical Care in California is seeking a patient care technician to support dialysis treatments and clinical operations. You will assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patient status, and document treatment details under supervision.

The role requires CPR certification and completion of the clinic’s dialysis training program; prior patient care experience is preferred. Join a team focused on safety, quality, and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• At least five years patient care experience in a hospital setting or a related facility preferred.
• Continued employment is dependent on successful completion of the organization dialysis training program and successful completion of CPR certification.

Responsabilités

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Evaluate vascular access for patency and cannulation; administer heparin as delegated.
• Obtain pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight; evaluate vascular access pre-treatment.
• Initiate dialysis per orders (QB, QD) and monitor response to therapy.
• Document treatment data; report significant changes to RN or supervisor.
• Maintain infection control practices and environmental safety in the clinic.
• Assist in training and mentoring direct care staff; support CQI activities.
