Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is hiring a Patient Care Technician to assist in dialysis treatments under supervision. You will welcome patients, monitor vital signs, perform cannulation and dialysis setup, document treatment data, and maintain safety and asepsis standards. Will train under RN supervision and participate in CQI activities.

Requirements include a high school diploma, PCT certification, and state licensure as applicable. Travel and shift flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid PCT national certification or state certification as defined by CMS.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required.
• Demonstrated commitment to organization culture, values, and customer service standards.
• Attendance and active participation in preceptor training programs.
• Attends Fresenius skill-based training as assigned by Clinical Manager.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and assess wellbeing since last treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access, cannulation, and administer heparin as allowed.
• Record vital signs, weight, and pre/post treatment data.
• Initiate dialysis per orders including QB and QD.
• Monitor response to therapy and report changes to RN/supervisor.
• Prepare and document treatment sheets and charting.
• Ensure safety alarms and environmental cleanliness.
