Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification within the required timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required.
• Continued employment depends on completing the dialysis training program and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Evaluate vascular access patency and perform cannulation as directed.
• Record pre/post treatment vital signs, weight, and treatment parameters.
• Monitor patient response to dialysis and intervene as prescribed.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and comply with infection control policies.
• Document all treatment data and participate in CQI activities.
• Coordinate with RNs and other staff to ensure safe patient care.
