Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Worcester, MA seeks a dialysis support professional to join the care team under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will help with setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patient well-being, and assist with safety and infection control throughout treatments.

You will document treatment data, monitor vitals, and support transitional care activities as part of a collaborative care approach.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must meet CMS/state certification requirements before work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Evaluate vascular access patency and cannulation as directed.
• Obtain pre and post treatment vital signs and weight.
• Initiate dialysis per prescribed orders (QB, QD).
• Monitor patient responses and intervene as prescribed.
• Document all treatment data accurately.
• Assist in training direct patient care staff.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and infection control practices.
