Job summary

US Renal Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician to work on-site in Melbourne, FL. You will assist with dialysis treatment, monitor patients, and support machine maintenance under RN or CN supervision. A strong patient-first attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Responsibilities include preparing and disinfecting dialysis machines, collecting samples, and adhering to safety protocols. CPR may be required; state requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
• Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
• Must be comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.

Responsibilities

• Patient care. Work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment; gather stats before/after treatment; initiate, monitor, and terminate treatment; collect patient blood samples per physician orders.
• Technician duties. Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments; clean and disinfect machines after treatment; conduct machine safety checks and log results.
• Safety and quality. Use PPE; follow company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws; participate in staff meetings and continuing education.
