Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Milford is seeking a dialysis patient care technician to join a team dedicated to safe, effective dialysis therapy. The role supports the RN and follows established policies while maintaining a clean and compliant treatment area.

You will assist with machine setup, monitor patient status during treatment, document vital signs and treatment details, and participate in CQI activities to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; CMS/state certification requirements to be met.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• CPR certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Welcome patients and monitor wellbeing between treatments.
• Record vital signs, weight, and treatment parameters.
• Evaluate vascular access and perform cannulation as delegated.
• Initiate dialysis per orders and monitor patient response.
• Document accurate treatment data and alarms for safety checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe treatment area and follow infection control policies.
• Participate in CQI activities and education as directed.
