Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Western Hartford clinic is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join the dialysis health care team under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. You will help set up and operate hemodialysis machines, monitor patients, and perform pre/post treatment assessments.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CMS/state licensure as applicable, CPR certification, and prior patient care experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required.
• Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines during treatments.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and response to dialysis.
• Document treatment data accurately in the chart and clinical systems.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and comply with infection control policies.
