Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Rhode Island is seeking a dedicated Dialysis Technician to join the patient care team. You will help set up and operate hemodialysis machines, monitor patients during treatment, and ensure a clean, safe environment under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include pre/post-treatment assessments, documentation, and adherence to CQI initiatives. CMS/state licensure and CPR certification are expected, with shifts from early morning to evening and some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or pursued
• CMS/state licensure as required by state
• Willingness to work 4:30 AM – 9:30 PM shifts and weekends

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate dialysis machines per orders
• Monitor patient status and vital signs during treatment
• Document treatment data accurately and timely
• Assist in infection control and environmental cleanliness
• Support CQI activities and patient education as directed
• Coordinate with RN and supervisors for patient care decisions
• Prepare labs and specimens as needed
• Assist with transition and patient education related to home dialysis
